Top 6 Crazy Tech Predictions for 2012

Guessing and predicting is one of the most "liked" hobby of almost everyone around the world. But when technological knowledge is coupled with the ability to guess by reading things in between the lines, these look like authentic news. This post is about one such guessing.

We live in a world of absolutes: Here’s what happened. Even when we look to the future, our predictions are couched in the world’s sometimes difficult realities. It can, to be honest, take all the fun out of guess work. So, once a year I allow myself to go beyond the likely, beyond the possible and deep into the world of the implausible.

What follows are my most ridiculous and unlikely predictions. Most are just nuts, but one is, to be honest, all too scarily possible. See if you can guess which prediction I’m talking about, says Lance Ulanoff at Mashable.

• Facebook Buys Digg
• Scientists and Hollywood Develop New Way to End Movies
• SOPA Becomes the Law of the land
• Apple Intros a 5-inch Tablet Phone Hybrid
• Google+ Takes Center Stage
• Honda Releases Asimo to Consumers

For details on each "prediction" above, read Mashable.

Hubble offers glimpse of the dawn of time

[ via Mail Online ]

Scientists still have only seen glimpses of the 'cosmic dawn', when stars were forming in the calm, dark cosmos.

A researcher at the University of Tokyo has found the most vigorous star-forming galaxy yet seen from the cold, dark period just after the Big Bang - a large mass of gas forming stars at a rate of around a hundred suns per year

An international team lead by Masami Ouchi of the University of Tokyo has found the most vigorous star-forming galaxy yet seen from the period - a huge mass of gas forming stars at a rate of around a hundred suns per year.

It's one of the most distant galaxies ever seen by mankind - and it's also unique. Although nine galaxies have been detected from the period just after Big Bang, the 750-million-year-old GN-108036 was forming stars far faster than the others, when most of the universe was still cold and dark.
