Sad and bad news for those who love enjoying games on their smartphones - specially the Flappy Bird lovers !!

The much popular App sensation Flappy Bird has been removed from the App Store after its creator said he hates it for ruining his 'simple life.'

For now, the game, one of the most popular free mobile games on the Apple Inc App Store and Google Inc's Android Play store, is no longer available to download for either Apple or Google users. However, fans still can have fun with the bird if they already downloaded the game to their devices.

The decision came from Nguyen Ha Dong, a Hanoi-based game developer, who announced the grounding of the addictive game in a Tweet at 1900 GMT on Saturday in which he also apologized to Flappy Bird players.

"Twenty-two hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down," Dong said, adding "it is not anything related to legal issues.

His Tweet attracted more than 136,000 Retweets as of 0430 GMT on Monday.

The game, which involves tapping your device's screen to propel a small bird through a series of strategically placed pipes, has been a huge success in recent months.
