Theme Specific Stamps - Muhammad Ali "The Black Superman"

Born as Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr, Muhammad Ali rose to the heights of boxing glory in the 70s. His refusal to join the Vietnam War brought him to the headlines all over the world. His view point  "I ain't got no quarrel with them Viet Cong... No Vietcong ever called me nigger" was welcomed and liked by many who opposed a meaningless war the US had waged on Vietnam, from which it had to extricate itself under heavy odds and losses, both in man and material. This vindicated Ali's conviction of a war that was fought to be lost.

A number of countries have honoured this greatest boxer of all times by issuing commemorative stamps in his honour.
