The Nexus 7 tablet computer is expected to be price tagged at less than half the cost of the market-leading iPad - something that will largely attract even the Apple users to Google's Nexus 7.

The 7 inch tablet is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and  1,280-by-800 pixel resolution. The gadget is made for Google by Taiwan-based Asus and weighs about as much as a paperback book, according to Android team head Hugo Barra.

The best thing about Nexus 7 is its price tag: A pre-order via Goolge Play is just for $199 for the 8GB version and $249 for the 16 Gb version. Nexus 7 puts Kindle’s Fire at stake as Google’s tablet it far better in terms of high-end specs.
